30.12.2007 - Tyeware Establishes New MS Dynamics AX Support Contract

It is vital that organisations build relationships with their service providers that are more than just mere "labour for hire". Particularly in the case of Information Systems, the most successful relationships are those where client and vendor strive for mutual benefit. The best intentions can be quickly derailed by a service provider which fails to understand the business needs of its client.

Tyeware has now completed the procurement phase of a project to establish a suitable partnership contract with a Microsoft Dynamics AX solution provider for one of its clients. This project has also included the retrospective documentation of current system functional requirements and business processes, as well as the ongoing management of a system cleansing and upgrade process.

If you would like assistance in establishing successful and competitive relationships with IS subcontractors and service providers, contact us.

20.11.2007 - Tyeware Assists National Job Placement Agency ERP

The necessity to capture and prioritise the functional requirements of an organisation before engaging with vendors is vital for building organisational buy-in to the project and assuring that the end solution is the best fit for the business. Tyeware has completed the capture of functional requirements for an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning or finance) system for a national job placement agency. Tyeware also coordinated pre-procurement activities including a market scan of providers and evaluation of proposals against requirements. A formal procurement process is due to commence shortly.

For assistance with replacing your current ERP system and ensuring that your growing organisational needs are being empowered through your IT and IS systems, contact us.

05.11.2007 - Tyeware Delivers Workforce Management Requirements

Tyeware has completed the capture of functional requirements for a workforce management solution for a government client. The proposed solution sought to establish a system for the tracking of skills against employees for the purposes of career and succession planning. For this project, Tyeware conducted workshops with client reference groups and developed a comprehensive set of functional requirements. A pre-tender market analysis was conducted to identify possible solutions and a budget estimate.

Definition of functional requirements is the first critical step in the selection of a new information solution. Tyeware has also developed a "buy vs. build" methodology which uses the complexity and uniqueness of functional requirements to help identify the best options for sourcing a solution. For assurance in compiling your business' functional requirements and objectivity in your solution sourcing strategies, please contact us.

01.08.2006 - Tyeware launches new tyeware.com website

The complexity of the ICT industry means that organisations will often require a broad range of solutions and technologies to meet their business needs. Because of this, it is very difficult to communicate the full extent of available solutions provide by an organisation without a web site.

The purpose of the Tyeware web site is to provide information not only about the solutions we offer and how they can improve the way you do business, but also to convey the approach we take, what we stand for and how we believe ICT and businesses work together.
