Steven Tye is a Christian songwriter based in Mackay, Queensland, Australia. Steven currently works full time as an ICT consultant, but his passion for music and love of God has led him to write and record a number of contemporary Christian songs, both for personal and congregational worship as well as Christian ballads. A number of these songs have been recorded and are available to listen on the music page.
Steven’s style of music could be described as contemporary Christian with sounds including rock, pop and folk. In addition to vocals, Steven also plays rhythm guitar on these tracks and creates the musical arrangements for each part. Session musicians used in the recording of these sample songs also have strong jazz routes which flow into the music.
Steven is a regular worship leader at Mackay Baptist Church.
